Lectures & Workshops

Alongside my books, visual work, and educational practice, I offer lectures and workshops that open a shared space for story, reflection, and conversation. Each meeting grows out of my lived experience as a writer, artist, and educator, and invites participants into that creative and ethical world.

Gathering of Exiles

The Story Behind The Marvelous Journey

This lecture unfolds the story behind The Marvelous Journey and the broader movement of exile and homecoming that shaped it. Through readings, personal reflections, and open conversation, we trace the paths between languages, lands, and inner landscapes.

Suitable for: readers and reading groups; cultural and community centers; literary festivals; adult education programs; educators and students interested in questions of identity, migration, and belonging.

From Deficit to Effect

This talk looks at the language of "deficit" in education and in our inner lives, and offers a different way to see the children, young people, and adults we meet. Through stories from the classroom and daily life, we explore how attention, listening, and trust can transform what first appears as a lack into a source of presence and influence.

Suitable for: teachers and school staff; counselors and educational teams; parents; community workers; anyone interested in a more humane and hopeful educational and social language.

Personal Strengths and Contribution to the Community

This workshop invites participants to recognize their own strengths and to imagine how these gifts might be shared with the communities around them. Through guided reflection, writing, and conversation, we weave together personal stories with questions of responsibility, mutual care, and social commitment.

Suitable for: youth and adult groups; community and volunteer initiatives; educational frameworks; teams seeking a deeper sense of shared purpose.

For me, a lecture or workshop is first of all a living encounter: a meeting of story and thought, of questions and experience. Out of that shared presence something new can emerge, for each participant and for the group as a whole.

Lectures and workshops are available in Hebrew, English, and French, and can be adapted in length and format to suit different groups and settings.
